caribbean african canadian(cafcan) social services- community of practice
We are working with CAFCAN to develop a community of practice in the North-West part of Toronto to help Black-led and Black serving agencies serve Black children, youth and their families better.
PATHWAYS TO CARE
We worked with Black Health Alliance and community stakeholders to envision the steps needed to develop an improved mental health and addictions sector that is better equipped to serve Black Children, Youth and Families in Ontario. This project included research, strategy development, resource development, and government relations.
Black youth Resilience project
With a focus on Toronto, the goal of the Black Youth Resilience Project is to learn from Black youth and other key stakeholders to develop new service models that more effectively serve Black youth who face multiple barriers, while increasing their community engagement and leadership skills. By 2021, this project will have created a service delivery framework that is intended to assist the youth service sector in improving service delivery to Black youth facing multiple barriers.
